I ordered my husband an XL shirt identical to one I ordered a year ago, but this one was way too large. This surprised me because the one I ordered last year fit fine. I sent a picture of the smaller shirt laid on top of the larger one. The difference was obvious. They responded by asking me to measure the shirt. This was a reasonable request but I received no direction on what they wanted me to measure. I used their website's sizing chart as a guide for what and how to measure. They then told me I was measuring incorrectly. I showed them that I measured correctly; they then told me I was measuring in the wrong spot. We went back and forth three or four times and it was very clear I was measuring from the correct spot, but then I realized that I was using the women's size chart and my husband's shirt was fine. The shirt I received last year must have been the wrong size. They either changed their measurements or they changed manufacturers because the shirts have different tags.
First, why didn't they notice that I was using the incorrect chart? Did they just assume I was wrong without even looking at their own chart? Second, if they had checked their own size chart they would have seen that my measurements were correct and that I was using the wrong chart. Instead they made me measure this shirt five times in an attempt to prove that I was wrong. Third, why didn't they give me clear instructions upfront on what and how to measure the shirt?
While their customer service could have been better, I do love these shirts. However, I am now going to have sew this shirt to resize it.
